Sunfall (Game jam version)
A downloadable game for Windows and macOS
A game about a young alchemist looking to restore the missing sun by collecting pieces of light into their lantern.
This game was created in two weeks for the Pirate Software July 2024 Game Jam.
About the creators:
This game was created by Aras (Sketching101), Vardo (tvardero), Kri, Kiwi and RicNorris. We all come from different countries across Europe, and none of us knew each other before this jam. For most of the group this was our first game jam, and for some of us, our first game ever!
Since then we have expanded our team to include several more developers and artists, and we hope to make this game into a full version soon!

amazing! Looooove the character animation! Great polish!
Really cool mechanic! Broken world being the "shadow" version is maybe obvious but straight forward design in helping the player reason in which world they should be in.
The last fragment I was a bit lost :D but eventually solved it by mistake haha
The game could use some hints in showing what's interactable but this is an awesome concept, hope you make it in a full game!
Thanks! Which fragment was the last one for you? Would be useful to know so we know which puzzle(s) need more hints!
river, basically didnt notice the valve for a long time
Ah yes, thanks - at one point we had the sewage extend onto the screen with the valve, so putting that back may help, or we may add back in a rusted version of the valve in the dark world as that may help draw attention to it also!
Really cool art style and game idea and adorable animations! Really like to see more :)
Thank you! The art was really fun to make and it's really gratifying to hear that people have been enjoying it :D
damn , that's cool man , i liked the design man
The game reminded us of old point-and-click adventures in a really good way, especially thanks to the well-written dialogues! If you were to find a stylized animation style and add a few more mechanics, this could easily be expanded into a full game. Keep up the great work!
great character design! cool game, congrats on finishing the jam!
